By tradition and history, Navarra is a land of great monasteries and small charming hermitages, of great sanctuaries and cathedrals, of churches and basilicas. With two great references in terms of religious and cultural tourism, such as the Leyre Monastery, Javier Castle, etc ...
Ujue/Uxue, which holds the title of "One of the most beautiful towns in Spain", has been a center of pagan worship since the Bronze Age, passing through the Middle Ages when it became the first defensive bastion of the Kingdom of Pamplona. In Ujue-Uxue time stops, its narrow and labyrinthine streets and its houses built and preserved with limestone take us back to the Middle Ages. Above them, the Church-Fortress emerges from the mountain. We will finish the visit in the medieval city of Olite, its Palace and its wineries.
