Day 1. CITY OF ORIGIN - TIRANA 20 minutes 17Km

Arrival at the airport and private transfer to Tirana. Overnight in Tirana. *Without local guide

Day 2. TIRANA-KRUJA 40 min 37 km – Tirana 37 km
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide at 9:00.
Today we will go to Kruja, known as a “city of history” , especially for being the hometown of Skanderberg.
We will start the visit of the city with its Castle, an Albanian stronghold that resisted three massive attacks by the Ottoman Turks despite their
small walls, with the Skanderberg Museum. Free time to enjoy the old bazaar, where we can see the artisans and various
Typical products.
In the afternoon return to Tirana. City tour , the capital of the country and the largest city in Albania, founded in 1614.
We will visit Skanderberg Square, the main symbol of the city, with the equestrian statue of the national hero, in front of it we will see the Torre del
Clock, 35 meters high; the Mosque of Et'hem Bey, where pilgrims from all over the world arrive; the National Library, the Palace of
Culture; and the National History Museum, which will allow us to learn more about the history of Albania.
We will visit the bazaar that was recently rebuilt, and transformed into a lively area of shops and restaurants. We will pass by the castle of
Tirana, an area that shows some remains of the city, also converted into a pedestrian tourist area of traditional buildings, bars and
stores. Overnight in Tirana.
 
Day 3. TIRANA – ARDENICA – APOLLONIA 92 km – Vlora 40 km
Breakfast at hotel. We will continue to Ardenica, where there is a medieval Orthodox monastery, from the 13th century. Being surrounded by walls
made of stone was called “Myzeke Castle”. His Chapel of the Holy Trinity was already there centuries before, next to a pagan temple
dedicated to Artemis, while the Church of Santa María contains important frescoes from the 18th century.
Our next visit Apollonia , founded in the 6th century BC, a flourishing city in Roman times where an important
philosophy school. Everything was destroyed by an earthquake that changed the course of a river. Much of the city is still buried
despite the excavation work.
Finally, we will go to Vlora, the city where the independence of Albania was declared. Free afternoon in the coastal city and accommodation,
Day 4. VLORA - ALBANIAN RIVERA – SARANDA 125 km – BUTRINTO - GJIROKASTRA 5 hours 106 km
In the morning, transfer and panoramic stop at the Llogara National Park , at a height of more than 1000 meters and with panoramic views of the
park and the sea. Then we will depart for Saranda , contemplating on the way some spectacular views of the Albanian Riviera with the Sea
Ionian background. We will continue our way passing through coastal villages such as Dhermi and Himara
  In the afternoon we will visit the Historic Complex of Butrint, inhabited since prehistoric times, which was successively a Greek colony, a Roman city and the seat of a bishopric. After a period of prosperity under the domination of Byzantium and a brief occupation of Venice, the city was abandoned at the end of the Middle Ages due to the formation of marshy lands in its surroundings. Today, it is an archaeological site declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO where you can see representative ruins from each of the stages of its history. We will see the Temple of Asclepius, the Baptistery, the Nympheo, the Theater, the Gate of the Lions, the Acropolis, etc.
Later we will go to Gjirokastra. Evening in the city and accommodation
 
Day 5. GJIROKASTRA-BERAT (3 hours) 160 km
In the morning we will visit Gjirokastra , the ancient Fortress, from the 13th century, which dominates the city and the valley, offering panoramic views.
Gjirokastra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its architecture as the "city of stone", for the rich history and
also the delicious local cuisine. We will visit the old town, exploring the Ottoman quarters, the narrow stone streets and the small
craft shops. Free time for lunch in Gjirokastra. Later, we will go to Berat, which with 2000 years old, is a
of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Albania. Accommodation
Day 6. BERAT
Day in Berat . The city was founded in 314 BC although records indicate that the area was already inhabited in the 6th century BC and it is declared
as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the fortress of Berat, which is located on a hill from where it dominates the
modern city and the old Christian quarter on the other side of the river. It was built during the 13th century, although its origins date back to the 4th century
BC Despite the fact that little remains of its 20 Byzantine churches built during the 13th century, and that only one minaret of the mosques remains standing
Built during the Ottoman occupation that began in 1417, it is still a wonderful visit. During the visit of the castle, we will visit
also its most interesting building: the Cathedral of San Nicolás, which has been restored, and is now the Onufri Museum. The museum has works
iconographic images of Onufri, the greatest of the Albanian painters of the 16th century.
In the afternoon free time in the city, or we can visit a winery to visit it and be able to taste Albanian wines. (Optional) Accommodation

Day 7. BERAT-DURRES 38 km - TIRANA 2 hours 100 km
Breakfast and transfer to Tirana . Along the way we stop in the coastal city of Durres, where we will visit the Emperor's Amphitheater
Roman Adrian, the second largest in the Balkans, and the baths dating from the 2nd century BC, as well as a Byzantine forum from the 5th and
VI AD Free time in Durres for lunch near the sea. Return to Tirana. Free afternoon and accommodation.
Day 8. TIRANA - CITY OF ORIGIN

After breakfast, we will have time to continue enjoying this beautiful city. At the indicated time private transfer (without guide) to the airport to take the flight (Not Included)
